Common questions
Is this invoice template really free?
Yes — completely free, no sign-up and no watermark. Fill it in, download the PDF and send it to your customer. If you later want to send invoices via WhatsApp and track who has paid, you can create a free InvoiceSA account.
Is the invoice SARS-compliant?
It includes the fields SARS expects on a tax invoice: your business details, VAT number (if registered), an invoice number and date, a description of the work, and 15% VAT shown either added on top or extracted from VAT-inclusive prices.
How do I invoice a monthly garden client?
Create one invoice per month and put the month in the description. With a free InvoiceSA account you can set these to repeat automatically instead of retyping them.
Can I invoice for both a service and plants supplied?
Yes — add the labour or maintenance as one line and any plants, compost or materials as separate lines so the customer sees exactly what they paid for.
